This comic really does throw you in the middle of things and expect you to catch up. But, at least, this issue gives you enough dialogue to establish a plot. As much fun as the first chapter was, it didn’t establish much of an ongoing story arc. It is bereft of dialogue (which is rather unlike me.)

I’m still trying to keep these characters somewhat succinct, but I love giving them an opportunity to demonstrate their personalities at last. Often I find that knowing your characters’ personalities is just as important as knowing your plot. I have a great side story for the Rejects universe that I know the entire plot, but I haven’t started writing yet because I’m not sure what the characters are like.
